If you have been surfing youtube lately you must of noticed some of the Youtube subliminal messages.

These are videos people have made at home highlighting the subliminal suggestions which have been used in a movie, or a tv show, a song, advert, you name it. If you search for "subliminal messages" on youtube then you will get back thousands of videos like this.

Subliminal messages are all around us, but now people ar sharing them when they find them with help from the viral power of youtube.

Subliminals are mild suggestions which go into our mind without our conscious knowledge. i.e. they set off your critical thinking function like an obvious suggestion would – you don't argue against the suggestion at all. Subliminal messages go into your mind without resistance and slowly start to change your physical behavior.

Due to their power to influence us subliminal messages are being used by everyone – from McDonalds to politicians, and their continued use only ads more evidence to their power.

One of the most famous recent examples is from MdDonalds when they were busted for using subliminal adverts on the food network. During the Iron Chef program a flash of the McDonalds logo is seen for just 1/10th of a second.

Through youtube this subliminal advert received major attention worldwide.

McDonalds denied it all straight away and said it was the food network's doing. But obviously the food network in turn denied everything too.

Now that we all have regular access to the internet and anyone can upload a video online we can increase the awareness of the subliminal messages which are being used iby advertisers to manipulate us – this practice is US, the UK, and Australia but advertisers are still trying to sneak them in. Only when we make a massive stand against this practice will the advertisers get a bad reputation and take note.
